Homeowners & Condominium Associations
The Firm’s lawyers have extensive experience representing homeowners and condominium associations in suits involving unit owners or others. The Firm’s lawyers have a working knowledge of the Florida Statutes regulating these associations as well as the practical issues which frequently present themselves to the governing boards.

The Firm’s lawyers recently obtained summary judgment in favor of Doral Park in a lawsuit filed by the association seeking to re-obtain the ownership and use of its pool and other common areas after the county sold the association’s pool by tax deed due to non-payment of real estate taxes. The tax deed purchasers immediately closed the pool property to over 600 residents and denied them access. We filed suit on behalf of the Association and immediately obtained a Temporary Injunction allowing the residents and their guests to use the pool and common areas. The Temporary Injunction was successfully defended on appeal. Approximately three months later, we obtained summary judgment, on behalf of the Association, ruling that the Association’s rights of the tax deed purchases and prohibiting the tax deed purchasers from altering the use of the property or denying the residents use of the property. The decision has been recently affirmed on appeal.
