Barry Jay Warsch
Barry Jay Warsch is a partner at Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli.
Barry holds a B.A. in Humanities from Florida International University and a J.D. with Honors from the College of Law at the University of Florida. Since his admission to the Florida Bar in 1980, Barry has practiced before and been admitted to the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the United States Tax Court. Upon graduation from law school, Barry practiced as a litigator with Hogg Allen Ryce Norton & Blue, P.A., one of the nation’s premier labor law firms, and Stroock, Stroock & Lavan, a national Wall Street based securities and transactional firm. Subsequently, Barry was an equity shareholder of Fort Lauderdale based Ruden, Barnett, McClosky, Smith, Shuster & Russell, P.S., one of Florida’s largest law firms, where he oversaw a practice focusing on commercial and property based litigation.
From 1993 to 2002, Barry was and elected City Commissioner of Cooper City, Florida and in solo private practice. Thereafter, Barry was counsel for the Hartford Insurance Group until joining the Boyd Law Firm as a partner in 2006.
In addition to developing a wide and varied litigation background in all fields of tort and transactional law, Barry’s hobbies have led him into freelance ski and snow sports journalism. Barry’s work has appeared in numerous publications, and he is a member of both the Eastern Ski Writers Association and the North American Snowsports Journalists Association.
