Caroline A. Lewis Associate
Caroline A. Lewis was born and raised in Florida. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida, and later attended the Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center where she earned her Juris Doctorate and graduated magna cum laude. During law school, Caroline was a Senior Staff Member of the Nova Law Review and actively involved in the Hispanic Law Student Association. She also published her article: “Cyber bullying: A Scourge that Needs to End” in the Broward County Justice Association newsletter in May of 2012. Caroline’s article “LMM: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” was also published in the Southern District of Florida, Bankruptcy Bar Association Journal in 2014. Caroline began her career at a mid-size bankruptcy firm where she handled matters arising under Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. Caroline joined Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli, P.L. in April of 2014. She handles insurance defense matters for all of the firm’s clients and focuses on first-party property damage and coverage claims. Caroline’s practice also includes the defense of third-party claims in the areas of automobile negligence and premises liability.
Caroline is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the Florida Southern District Bankruptcy Court. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Broward County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division.
Instrumental in securing dismissals with prejudice based on plaintiffs’ fraudulent misrepresentations to the Court. Successful in obtaining an involuntary dismissal against a plaintiff for failure to comply with multiple Court Orders in an automobile negligence action. Obtained a defense verdict in a bench trial regarding a landlord tenant dispute over property damage. Successfully represented licensed mental health professionals in actions involving alleged violations with the Florida Department of Health.
