Daniella P. Chacoa Partner
Background
Daniella P. Chacoa is a Partner in the West Palm Beach office of Boyd Richards Parker Colonnelli, P.L. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised in South Florida. Daniella earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 2011. While in law school, she was a member of the nationally ranked Trial Team, served as President of the International Law Society, and supported faculty as a Teaching Assistant for Trial Practice. During her time at UF, she completed a Certificate in New Venture Creation at the Hough Graduate School of Business. Although a proud member of the Gator Nation, Daniella is also a steadfast Seminole. In 2003, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, cum laude, from The Florida State University and was awarded the Honors Medallion.
Daniella’s litigation practice focuses on first-party property and third-party liability. Before joining the Firm, Daniella worked for a boutique law firm representing homeowners and other insureds in various disputes against their insurers. Prior to taking on that role, she represented carriers in hundreds of claims involving complex insurance coverage disputes; bad faith claims; and first-party commercial & personal lines property claims; in both federal and state courts throughout Florida. Daniella has also defended insureds in third-party liability auto claims.
Previously, Daniella served as a Teen Court advisor, Guardian ad Litem, and volunteer attorney with the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association. She has been recognized by the Supreme Court of Florida, the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar, and the Florida Pro Bono Coordinators Association for her pro bono services to the community.
Daniella is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, as well as all Florida State courts.
