Edward Yu Associate

Edward is an associate at the Firm’s New York Office, where he practices Cooperative and Condominium law, and general liability matters. He grew up in Brooklyn but has spent an inordinate amount all over the City, experiencing the diverse cultures and people of New York. Edward graduated cum laude from Baruch University with a degree in Finance. He followed that by obtaining his J.D. at Brooklyn Law School, where torts and criminal law fascinated him. Pursuing one of these practice areas, Edward became an Assistant District Attorney with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office upon graduating law school,. As an ADA, Edward presented hundreds of felony cases in the Grand Jury, and was also the lead attorney for several misdemeanor trials. Not one to abandon his interest in Tort Law. Edward left the District Attorney’s Office after several fantastic years and shifted his practice area to insurance defense, concentrating in medical malpractice and general liability, and worked at two firms with practices concentrating in those fields. He successfully obtained numerous case dismissals, including via summary judgment, in favor of his clients, which included prominent new York hospitals, nurses, and doctors with a variety of specialties. These diverse experiences afford Edward the ability to efficiently develop solutions for clients from multiple perspectives.
