
Rachel Gibert Associate
Rachel Gibert is an associate in the firm’s Miami office, focusing her practice on first party property insurance defense and all aspects of civil litigation matters. Prior to joining the firm, Rachel worked as an associate attorney representing various insurance companies in all aspects of litigation and pre-suit matters. Rachel began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in and for Broward County, Florida, where she spent five years representing many clients throughout all stages of their pre-trial, trial, and post-trial matters. As an Assistant Public Defender, Rachel served as first and second chair trial attorney in over forty (40) felony and misdemeanor trials, as well as a lead attorney in various felony divisions taking on a supervisory role for newer attorneys.
Rachel was born in Cuba and raised in South Florida. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree as a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she was a member of St. Thomas’ Journal of Complex Litigation, receiving the Journal’s Bluebook Award, and a member of the International Moot Court team. She was also on the school’s Dean’s List and received the St. Thomas University School of Law Public Service Award for her commitment to public service. While attending law school, Rachel served as a legal intern for Catholic Services Immigration Services and the Broward and Miami-Dade County Public Defender’s Offices.
