Background

Ana Morel Saruski was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Florida International University, where she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society She subsequently earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Miami School of Law.

Ms. Saruski has spent her entire legal career defending insureds, insurance companies, medical professionals and institutions in all types of civil proceedings. In addition, Ms. Saruski is also a Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator since 2002. Prior to joining the firm as a partner, she worked for a national defense firm in a similar capacity, and a local boutique defense firm exclusively defending heath care providers in medical negligence cases.

As a practicing attorney, Ms. Saruski has defended through trial multiple healthcare providers in medical malpractice and related claims before various state courts, boards, and agencies. In addition, she has been involved in representing private companies and individuals in automobile accident, premises liability, products liability, professional liability, and social services claims. Her focus is on high–exposure cases, many of which have complicated medical issues. As a Supreme Court Certified Circuit/County Civil Mediator, Ms. Saruski has mediated in excess of 250 disputes in all areas of civil law.

Being the mother of two special needs young adults, Ms. Saruski enjoys being an advocate for individuals with disabilities who cannot speak for themselves. In addition, Ms. Saruski has served as a parent volunteer to the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation, helping with translation services for Spanish speaking families who need to access the Foundation’s services.
