Background
Andreas (Andy) Theodosiou has been in the cooperative/condominium industry for the past thirty years. In that time, he has counseled hundreds of directors and managers of condominiums, cooperatives and homeowner associations on matters involving disputes among residents, owners, employees, applicants, contractors, debtors and governmental entities. Andy specializes in litigating issues that affect co-ops, condominiums and their residents. Andy has handled discrimination claims (both housing and employment), property boundary disputes, warranty of habitability claims, and general corporate issues such as amending by-laws, proprietary leases, declarations and certificates of incorporation. Andy is admitted to the bar in New York, New Jersey, U.S. District Courts and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Andy’s experience in defending cooperative and condominium boards from claims brought by shareholders, owners, tenants, contractors and employees has affirmed his belief in the wisdom of prevention; he advises governing boards on best practices & procedures to follow so as to avoid litigation and maintain good relations within the building. In addition, he is known for his meticulous attention to detail and wholehearted devotion to thorough preparation.
