Background

Lissette A. Duran joined the Miami office in May of 2025. She was born in New York and grew up in New Jersey until her move to Miami in 1996. Lissette earned her paralegal certification from the University of Miami and is registered with The Florida Bar as a Florida Registered Paralegal since 2008. She regularly participates in continuing legal education to stay current with legal developments and maintain a high standard of professional service.

Lissette has over 25 years of experience supporting attorneys in criminal, family, civil litigation, and general liability matters. Lissette is known for her strong attention to detail and commitment to client service, and she plays an integral role in ensuring cases are managed efficiently and effectively from intake to resolution. Lissette assists the firm’s attorneys in litigation management, investigation, client communications, drafting and responding to discovery requests, and preparing for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. Lissette is proficient in legal research and managing case files in accordance with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.

Before joining the firm, Lissette worked as an assistant and paralegal in one of Florida’s largest defense firms, in the areas of personal injury, legal malpractice, wrongful death, and professional malpractice.

Outside of the office, Lissette enjoys gardening and spending time with her family and her dog, Peanut.
