Michael K. McCaffrey Partner
Michael K. McCaffrey is a Partner in the Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli, P.L. Fort Lauderdale Office. Mike was born and raised in New Jersey. He graduated from Marist College with a BA in 1997. He attended Rutgers University School of Law with his JD in 2002. Upon graduating from law school, he began his legal career as a judicial law clerk with the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Trial Division. Mike was admitted to the New Jersey and New York bars in 2003. He exclusively defended insurance carriers, their insureds and self-insured clients in New York and Jersey state and federal courts with national defense firms. Mike relocated to Florida in 2008. He was admitted to the Florida bar in 2009 and has continued his practice in Florida state and federal courts.
Mike’s practice is focused on the defense of first and third-party insurance matters including property and casualty, premises liability, wrongful death and motor vehicle liability. He also has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, construction defect litigation, asbestos litigation and first and third-party insurance coverage matters. He represents insurance companies, insureds, business owners and handles all aspects of claims ranging from pre-suit examinations under oath through litigation including pleadings, discovery, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals.
